While Kevin Durant was getting all the attention, there was another rising rookie on this Sonics basketball team.
Best Game- Apr.6 vs. Denver--Game Line: 35pts 10rebs 3asts
Jeff Green is best described as a quiet player. Unlike his teammate, Durant, he got things done in a less flashy way. Sure he had great 20point and 30point nights, but more importantly when he didn't score, he was able to contribute in other ways. Prime example, in a loss against Miami on February 29th, Green scored only 4 points. However if you take a look at his game line more closely he also grabbed 11 rebounds, passed for 3 assists, and stole the ball 2 times.
I think Jeff Green will morph into a consistent scorer with lots of other tools, maybe like a poor man's Shawn Marion. Him and Durant had great chemistry on the court together this year, and they'll only get better together as time goes on. As a college basketball fan it was really fun to see Green develop through his first pro season and become a more confident and consistent offensive threat.
