MLB Power Rankings Week 10

Instead of my usual power rankings, I have decided to take power rankings from several sources and average them out to create some sort of a BCS system..Do you like this more than my own rankings? Post your feedback in the comment section, thanks!

Power Rankers:
Explanation of rankers: ESPN and Sports Illustrated do a great job of taking into consideration all aspects of a team's performance and do a great job of taking into consideration several intangibles. The ESPN RPI is the scientific average. The Yahoo! Sports Team Ranker provides a vote for fans, you'd be surprised on how accurate fans are! I believe it's important to take into consideration a team's actual overall record because that is the most basic tool of comparing teams with another. I took into consideration Larry Stone's power rankings because I wanted a local spin for these rankings. So there you have it! finally as a tie-breaker I used my personal opinion based off of the team performances I have witnessed so far this season. Enjoy:

  1. Chicago Cubs (1)-Is this the year?
  2. Los Angeles Angels (4)- The legend of Casey Kotchman.
  3. Boston Red Sox (3)-Crazy Coco! Fights are for kids!
  4. Philadelphia Philles (7)- Homerun count: Chase Utley-21 Ryan Howard-15
  5. Tampa Bay Rays (2)-If I was a Tampa Bay Ray my life would be made.
  6. St. Louis Cardinals (5)-Rick Ankiel is back!
  7. Chicago White Sox (12)-Who has the hotter fans? Sox or Cubs?
  8. Oakland Athletics (13)-Someone should start an Emil Brown fan club.
  9. Milwaukee Brewers (18)- Since Prince Fielder is fat you can't accuse him of steroids.
  10. Florida Marlins (6)- Is Hanley Ramirez really that bad at defense?
  11. Arizona Diamondbacks (8)- The young players just got tooooo tired...
  12. Toronto Blue Jays (9)- AJ Burnett is pissing off his own fans!
  13. Atlanta Braves (11)- Chipper Jones = Hall of Fame
  14. Minnesota Twins (16)- Contender or Pretender
  15. Houston Astros (10)- Remember Jose Cruz Jr?
  16. New York Yankees (14)- I guess Joba isn't that bad :)
  17. New York Mets (17)- New York Mets and the Mariners have something in common. Bad Ownership.
  18. Baltimore Orioles (21)- RIP Jim McCay
  19. Texas Rangers (15)- He deserves it. Milton Bradley.
  20. Cincinnatti Reds (20)- Ken Griffey Jr.
  21. Pittsburgh Pirates (22)- Maybe the Pirates should changer their name to the pittsburgh bucs..shoot, a name change for tampa bay worked out well..

  23. Cleveland Indians (23)-John Halama. You don't even know.
  24. San Francisco Giants (26)- Barry Zito has it easy.
  25. Detroit Tigers (25) -Why do the Tigers suck? Find out.
