BREAKING NEWS: Ken Griffey Jr. traded to the Chicago White Sox

 

Ken Rosenthal from Fox Sports is reporting that the Cincinnati Reds and the Chicago White Sox have agreed upon a trade that will send the living legend to the Windy City.

The details of the trade have yet to surface. However, Griffey has the right to use his no-trade clause if he doesn't want to be traded.

When this trade would go through, Griffey will find himself in the middle of playoff race in the AL Central.

UPDATE: Griffey has accepted the deal.

UPDATE 2: ESPN is reporting that the White Sox are sending over two no-namers, Relief Pitcher, Nick Masset and Infielder Danny Richar.

James Edit- This trade is really, really bad for the White Sox. Griffey makes them a much worse team, and in this close division race, it puts them at a severe disadvantage. Wow, Kenny Williams is stupid.
