Ex-Mariners win the All-Star Game...well almost..

Nope, it wasn't Alex Rodriguez, or even Ichiro for that matter that won the All-Star game for the American League. It was George Sherrill and Carlos Guillen.

George Sherrill was the last American League pitcher not named Scott Kazmir that was available to Terry Francona. In the top of the 12th inning with the bases loaded, Sherrill came in and struck NL hitter Adrian Gonzalez out.

Then on the first pitch of the bottom of the 12th inning, Carlos Guillen blasted a ball into the outfield for a double...giving the AL the game-winning run in scoring position.

With runners at second and third, Ian Kinsler wasn't clutch..and it goes to the 13th inning..
