Marcus Trufant, My Favorite Cougar

As you all know, I'm a big Husky fan, such a big fan that on this blog you'll see a lot of anti-cougar views and propaganda. However, there is one cougar in my book that deserves all the credit in the world, Marcus Trufant.

Trufant has steadily developed into one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL, earning his first trip to the pro bowl last year.

Tim Ruskell realizes value in a player when he sees it and properly signed Trufant to a six year deal worth 50.2 million dollars during this off season. Ruskell didn't just resign him because of his heroics on the field, but also for attitude.

He'll do absolutely anything to win, take it from a recent News Tribune article:

Trufant said he’d like to make a return to the Pro Bowl, but he’s more concerned about the Seahawks making another postseason run.

“I’d like to be in the conversation, but at the same time I’m here to win games overall, to help out the defense and to help out the team in any way possible,” Trufant said.

Will this year be another solid year for Trufant? Or was last year just a fluke?
