Could It Get Any Worse? The Irish Embarass the Huskies.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish (5-3)--33
 Washington Huskies (0-7)--7
“I feel like we could have scored more, but we never want to embarrass a team,” said Irish wide receiver Golden Tate, who ran 21 yards for his first career touchdown on an end around in the opening quarter. “I think we let up once we had them 14-0.”
It is a wonder to me on why I and others continue to venture out in the cold Seattle weather to see the Huskies lose every weekend. The majority of the fans that stay for the whole game only end up depressed and angry.

Last week, when the Huskies couldn't convert a touchdown when they had possession at the goal line with four downs, an angry fan got up and yelled, "PUSSIES! LIGHTWEIGHTS! GET RID OF THE GUY (Ty)!". All I could do was laugh, because getting angry is probably the worst thing to do. You got to have hope right?

There's not much to say about this game. Notre Dame was average tonight, Washington was terrible. At one point in the game, the Huskies had punted the ball 4 times, and had a total of 5 passing yards. A typical Husky drive went like this: 2 yard run, incomplete pass, incomplete pass, Punt (Jared Ballman!). Then Notre Dame would get the ball back and score in like 3 plays.

The Husky coaches have the toughest job to try to motivate a team that has yet to see a win. Usually, any bad team can find some moral victories in a loss. But after losing so much, there is no such thing as a moral victory. With your best player sitting on the sideline and your coaches destined for losing their jobs it just seems that this team is full of apathetic players.

Oh yea, I was only 3 points of my game prediction. That's a moral victory.....right? :)

Go Dawgs!
