Hawks Fans: Savor the Win

The Seahawks made the first effort to salvage their dismal season on Sunday, however it was not a very strong effort to say the least.

Offensively:
Under 50 yards rushing, enough said. Our offensive line simply isn't that good, our backs are getting hit in the backfield either right after or as they're getting the ball. The Seahawks better be thanking Leonard Weaver right now, who made two great plays to score as well as Seneca Wallace who had a very good day passing wise.

The Hawks need to find a balance in their offense, either the running game's good or the passing game's good, but never both in one game. Yes Hasselbeck was out and they could have stacked the box but Seneca is no Fyre and he showed it, which spreads out the defense and should have created opportunities for us to run the ball and we couldn't.

Defensively:
Bend but don't break. The Hawks gave up a lot of yards on Sunday and they had no answer for Frank Gore. The D-line was getting pressure on the quarterback, but somehow they were still completing passes.

The secondary needs improvement. Josh Wilson had a good game but he is still developing as a corner and the Seahawks need someone opposite of Trufant with more experience. Tatupu was out, but DD Lewis played an excellent game in his place.

To Hawks Fans: Enjoy this win, but be ready for a roller coaster for the rest of the season. This team should be a playoff caliber team, but they have shown no signs of it this season.
