Game 2- UW vs. Cleveland State

I'm trying to forget the Portland loss and move it past me.

Here are the reasons why the Dawgs lost against Portland:
  • 23 turnovers. Inexcusable. Take care of the freaking ball, we're not scrimmaging anymore, this is the real deal.
  • Pondexter scored two points. You scored 2 points on Portland?!?! Do you want to score? Take initiative and try to shoot the ball a little more, Jon Brockman needs your help.
  • Free throws? If this continues then the Huskies will be going no where this season, they went 19 for 32, 60%.
  • Lastly, three pointers. 3 for 16? Ryan Appleby was so crucial last year. Someone needs to step it up.

Okay, I"m over it.

The Opponent: Cleveland State (1-0)
Game time: 7 p.m.
TV: None

Husky Projected Starters:
PG-Isaiah Thomas
SG-Justin Dentmon
F-Quincy Pondexter
F-Darnell Gant
F-Jon Brockman

Injured-Matthew Bryan-Amaning (Doubtful), Tyresh Breshers (Out)

Keys to the Game
  • How will the Huskies respond? Will they come out with even more fire to insure a victory against a sleeper Cleveland State team?
  • Three-point shooting. After two games, some trends start to emerge, hopefully they'll be able to show that they can shoot better from long range in this game.
  • See how freshman Isaiah Thomas rebounds from a tough game against Portland.
  • Here is a new theroem to memorize: If  Quincy Pondexter scores more than 15 points then the Huskies will win.
  • Bottom Line: Playing at home should change things, I think the outcome will be a favorable one for the Dawgs, which means a win.
