By the way, it's freaking cold outside. Stay warm.
In no particular order:
Tony Wroten is enrolled back into Garfield High School
This years' Seattle high school basketball season suddenly has become tainted with the absence of the number one national recruit of the class of 2011. I'm not going to act like I'm an expert on what's fair and what's not fair.
But as selfish as it may seem, I want to see Tony Wroten play. It sucks so much to know that there is something so awesome that isn't being seen and consumed by crazy basketball fans like me. Oh how I hate stupid rules.
The Seahawks lose the rest of their games to go 3-13 and get themselves the No. 2 overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft
I said it. I want the Seahawks to lose. Why not secure the future by ensuring ourselves a high draft pick? The season is over anyways. On other note, did anyone see this train wreck of a season coming? A special note to Mike Holmgren: (If you want to lose more games, just let Brian Russell play safety). Who's the starting safety again?
David Stern finally realizes his mistake in letting the Sonics relocate, and decides to move the New Orleans Hornets to Seattle
The best part of the above Christmas wish:
Legit.
The Washington Huskies led by Jon Brockman and Quincy Pondexter make it to the school's first Final Four
Well at least the NCAA tournament. Husky fans won't settle for an NIT bid or a CBI bid this season. I have full confidence in Romar and I believe this team has the tools to not only make the tournament but has the ability to go deep in the tournament. I'm not saying final four, but a Sweet 16 is not out of the question.
The Sounders go to the playoffs in their inaugural season
I'm not the biggest soccer fan, but from what I've heard, the Sounders are an above average expansion team and have an outside chance into making it into the MLS playoffs this season. Not super exciting, but right now I'd kill to see any team win that's associated with the city of Seattle.
The Oklahoma City Thunder suck so bad that they would have only won 2 games.
Oh wait, that's already true.
