The July evaluating period is over and now college coaches are starting to call recruits and decide who to offer scholarships to. We got in touch with some of the state's top basketball players to find out more about how their summers went and what colleges are recruiting them. Former Franklin basketball stand-out Anrio Adams has decided to attend St. Patrick's High School in New Jersey according to a tweet by the Garfield junior Friday evening:
I have a special announcement I will be attending #St.pat's-highschool this year let's get it! (@RealAnrioAdams)
Adams will reclassify to the class of 2013 according to an earlier report (UPDATE: 7:50 p.m., Adams said on his twitter that he has decided not to reclassify). The majority of top west coast basketball schools have offered Adams including Washington, Gonzaga, Arizona and Texas.
St. Patrick's High School in New Jersey is famous for its basketball program's success. Current NBA players Derrick Caracter, Samuel Dalembert, Al Harrington and Kyrie Irving are all alumni of the school.
Next weekend Adams will be competing in the NW Premier Showcase for his AAU team, Seattle Rotary Select.

I just received word from the father of Brett Bailey (University High School, Spokane WA) that Bailey has committed to the University of San Diego for basketball. Bailey is a 6'5" guard from the Class of 2013, making his commitment an early one, as he is entering his junior year. Drake, Portland and Denver all showed strong interest in Bailey leading up to his commitment.
