June 18 2010: Storm's guard Sue Bird (10) brings the ball up court in the first half during a WNBA basketball game between the New York Liberty and the Seattle Storm at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Seattle Storm defeated New York Liberty 92-84.

I'm not going to lie to you and say I know a whole lot about the Storm, but it's been almost criminal of the site with the amount of coverage we've given this team. Thanks to those who have pushed for me to write this, the Storm more than deserve some love from SeaTown Sports. I know this won't make up for it, but at least it's a step towards the right direction.

Ever since 2004, for whatever reasons the Storm have not been able to return to the WNBA playoffs. This season, it seems like everything is clicking for this team. Sue Bird and Lauren Jackson finally have the supporting cast around them, allowing the alleviation of some pressure that has been on their shoulders the past few seasons.

The fan base is still passionate, and this team is dominating the WNBA. They just finished their regular season on Saturday night, finishing undefeated at the Key Arena with a 17-0 record. This can only bode well for their path to the playoffs. With home-court advantage locked up, the Storm look well on their way to another WNBA championship.

Their path starts this Wednesday. I don't care if you don't care about the Storm, because in my honest opinion, I am going to give this team my full-fleged support during this playoff run. They may not be the Mariners, Seahawks, or Huskies, but they are winners, and it's been a long time since I've seen a professional team from Seattle dominate like the Storm.
