Besides SeaTown Sports, there are some other great blogs covering Seattle sports. I have compiled them all with links to all the blogs. I recommend bookmarking some of these blogs and subscribing to their RSS feeds as well. See the guide after the jump. (I posted this last year, but have updated links and have added some blogs)
Covering It All
- Hotdog & Friends- A Seattle sports blog infused with humor and underrated analysis.
- Next Season Sports-One of our writers Nathan Parsons writes this site, you'll find some deeper and more thought-out analysis here than a place like Hotdog & Friends.
- SB Nation Seattle- I am currently writing Mariners previews and game recaps along with some other content for SB Nation's regional site.
- Seattle Sportsnet- This blog is content heavy with some of the funniest and most insightful writing you'll find about Seattle sports.
- Sportspress Northwest- This new website has been on the scene for close to a year. They just put out a new slick layout, however, the best feature of the site is its collection of writing talent. Art Thiel and Steve Rudman are the founders of the website and are well-established, but I personally enjoy the writing of Seth Kolloen who enjoys high school basketball as much as I do.
- The Brewery (Seattle Times)- This blog contains Jerry Brewer's opinions and analysis on the Seattle sports scene.
Mariners
- Hot Stone League (Seattle Times)-Go here for Larry Stone's insider view on the MLB and Mariners baseball.
- ProBall NW- Formerly known as Bleeding Blue and Teal, this blog contains a good balance between statistical and a subjective approach to Mariners baseball.
- Prospect Insider - Up there with both LL and USS, Jason Churchill is one of the best baseball scouts around, who just happens to share his information with the public. We love it.
- Lookout Landing- With smart statistical baseball analysis injected with priceless humor, this blog is highly recommended.
- Mariners Blog (Seattle Times)-A traditional baseball blog run by Geoff Baker with insider information and smart analysis.
- Mariner Mayhem- Our Bloguin Network neighbor, you can find game recaps and previews here.
- Mariners Minors- Another Bloguin Network neighbor, the author writes up game recaps for all of the Mariners minor league teams. Go here if you want to read about the team's up and coming prospects.
- USS Mariner- Sabermetric heaven. We got the worst team, but the best blogs. USS Mariner is arguably the most important blog in the Seattle sports blogosphere.
Seahawks
- 17 Power- A Seahawks fan blog with a solid community base.
- Dave Krieg's Strike Beard- Provides news and opinions on the Seahawks. The author has a keen sense of humor.
- Field Gulls- The best Seahawks blog on the web. Field Gulls contains the most detailed game analysis you'll ever see.
- Seahawk Addicts- Our Bloguin Netowrk neighbor, these guys have your typical news and analysis.
- Seahawks Blog (Seattle Times)- The best source for breaking news including injuries.
- Seahawks Draft Blog- Title is self-explanatory. With that said, the analysis here is smart and readable.
RIP Seattle Supersonics
- Sonics Central-The leader of the Save Our Sonics movement, they are still hard at work. Stay tuned for updates.
- Supersonicsoul-This is still an active blog despite the Sonic's departure. Go here to reminisce on the past and have hope for the future.
Huskies
- Husky Men's Basketball Blog (Seattle Times)-Percy Allen is excellent on providing updates during the off-season and during the season. He also gives insight on the Pac-10. My personal favorite.
- Montlake Madness- Montlake Madness provides quality and unique analysis on the Husky basketball team.
- The Dawg Dude- The biggest homer blog you'll ever find about the Huskies. Content is fun and sometimes a little vulgar. Enjoy at your own risk.
- UW Dawg Pound- SB Nation's Husky blog. It primarily focuses on football, but it covers basketball as well.
Everything Else
- High School Sports Blog (Seattle Times)-Mason Kelly covers all high school sports with the latest rankings and game stories
- The Prep Blog (The News Tribune)-Recruiting news, game recaps, and rankings from around the state with a focus on schools around the Tacoma area.
- Cameron Dollar- A frequently updated blog by Seattle U's Cameron Dollar. One of the few blogs you will find that is written directly by a coach.
- StormTracker- The offical Seattle Storm blog, the authority on the Seattle Storm on the internet.
Am I missing any? Which blogs do you frequent besides SeaTown?
